Winter Appeal 2022

Thank you for your extraordinary support
Please help us continue!

We are deeply grateful to you, our valued supporters, who helped us continue and expand our important work with Melbourne’s needy over the last two difficult years.

Not only did we continue our work with Melbourne’s needy, we expanded it with what was, for many, the life-saving Meals Program.

We now assist both the homeless through the Lazarus Centre as well as many others in need through the Social Enterprise. I encourage you to read the attached reports.

Help us engage a social worker to support and empower our vulnerable clients

As things are now resuming and the community is finding a new normality, we want to continue this important progress in our welfare services by funding the employment of a professional social worker to work with suitable clients in both settings.

For this year’s appeal, we have set a target of at least $80,000 to enable us to fund this important initiative.

Employing a social worker is something we have hoped to do for many years, and is essential if we are to assist clients in finding their place in society and employment.

With the post-pandemic reset, the time is right.

We hope you will give generously

Your donation will allow us to provide case management and counselling services to the most marginalised in our community.

Many of our clients have complex needs, including substance misuse issues, mental health challenges, and physical illnesses caused by sleeping rough and not having to appropriate medical care.

A qualified social worker can help clients get back on their feet and link them into the services and support they need.

All donations of $2 and over are tax deductible. Donations can be made by cheque, direct debit or credit card. Tax receipts will be issued.
